Hi,

Does anyone know of a good daycare in the Bathurst/Steeles or Bathurst /Sheppard areas which accepts 1 year olds? It seems like all of them require kids to be at least 18 months...

Thanks!

Sorry that I don't have any input but was wondering if anyone has any daycare recommendations in the Bayview/Eglinton area?

Does it have to be along Bathurst? Because if Steeles & Dufferin would work for you, I highly recommend Sunburst (in the Environment Canada building on Dufferin), and they definitely take 1-year-olds, although they may or may not have room -- they have only 10 Infant spaces.

I believe Kids Are People at Sheppard & Wilson Heights also takes kids under 18 months, but I don't have any direct experience with them. On Bathurst around Sheppard there's Menorah Nursery, but I can't remember whether they have infant spaces or only 18 months+.

funny...I've heard great things about arpi as well. and dropped in for a visit. liked their open concept. don't love basements but I think they've done really well with their space.

Check the City of Toronto website. They can give you a list of home based and daycare centres by area. just call them all and see who has openings

Hi Gala, I know of a few home based childcarers. There is one a bit further out of the way who I think has room for a one year old. But she is at Bayview and 16th. (so not in your area!) You will probably need to go to a home based child carer not a large daycare centre. Hope this helps. :)
