My 4 year old was diagnosed with ADHD about 1 year ago, and her doctor of course told me to think about trying out different medications so when it came time for her to go to school she would be ready. Living with ADHD and trying different medications my whole life with myself I knew what effects they really had on people and how they made me felt, I couldnt imagine putting one of my babies threw that unless I absolutly HAD to. So I started doing some research and I came across a company by the name of Advocare. Advocare is a premiere health and welness company that just celebrated their 20th anniversary. After digging deeper I found a article on a study that Texas Tech University had done on children with ADHD and Spark (sugar-free energy drink) that is suitable for children. After reading I ordered products for myself, and after falling in love with them I allowed Bailey to try them. Within a couple days of her drinking a Spark in the morning her teachers were asking me what I was doing, and what ever it was, it was working.

For anyone who would like a copy of this article please dont hesistate to email message me! I am now a distributor for Advocare and would be more than willing to help anyone out!

Thanks :)

Denise, please let me know how much spark you are giving our child. My 7 year old was just diagnosed and I'm looking for the right amount to give him. I have been an Advocare distributor for 14 years and am just now hitting a point to where I need to give Spark to one of my children. I've been using with great success but I want to hear from other parents and compare notes on how much they give their children. Please let me know.

My son is 4 and diagnosed with ADHD, he is very hyper. The Dr prescribed Quillvant? After reading all the side effects I can't bring myself to giving him the meds, he needs something, I know he is going to have a really hard time in Kindergarten without doing something, he has had to with preschools because of his hyper-activity. A friend told me about spark, and we tried it today though after reading this article http://primaldocs.com/opinion/why-gettin...
and a couple of others Im not sold on it either......Has anyone found help with anything else more natural?

I also would love to see this article. If you could email it to me darrell_sharonusry@att.net . I have a nephew with adhd and his mother is considering trying the mountain dew, like she read about before. I am a advocare adviser, and I love product, and it is all very highly tested, and thought out. Everything in our products are formulated to contain the same ingredients in every serving, and that is why a lot of our products are in packets. I believe that the spark will be awesome for him. There are artificial sweeteners in it, but if you do your research thoroughly you will see that nothing has been absolutely proven and linked to these sweeteners, and sugar is worse than sucrolose.

I'm considering trying this product to help my 10 yr old focus better during basketball, however I'm concerned about the artificial sweetener it contains.

I believe it contains sucralose - not the best additive/sweetener. Very bad for gut health, which is especially important for children with ADHD.

Okay, one of my cousins just told me about Spark and I am very interested. I have a 13yr old who has ADD and can't stand to take her meds, so we switched to patches and still have not yet been very successful. Also I have a 9yr old who has extreme ADHD and have been searching for an alternative for. I would like to have some information sent to me, as well as need to know how it effects the metabolism. Thank you! Cynthia_C@outlook.com

My aunt just told me about Spark. I'm wondering if the V16 supplement works as well (which AdvoCare lists as safe for kids 12 and up)? I'm not opposed to giving my 11yo caffeine, but just wondering. Heck, the drugs are controlled substances, so I can't see how caffeine could be any worse.

My son is 13 and we have taken him off of ADHD meds for the Summer. In 5 weeks he gained 16 lbs...........so I KNOW the meds are stunting his growth and development. How often would he take the Spark to get through school and then football or baseball games after school? My email is redsinger73@yahoo.com

Thanks so much!
I do know that AdvoCare just yesterday raised the official age recommendation to 18 because of the caffeine factor. However I have given it to my 3 yr old and it does calm her down. My son is 17 and he is able to focus .. oh how I wish I knew about AdvoCare and Spark 9 yrs ago!

I have searched everywhere for this study. There are tons of references to it but links to the actual study that I've found in blogs do not work. This makes me very skeptical. If anyone has an actual copy, please post. Thank you.

Hi Denise. I just tried Spark for my child upon recommendation from a friend. He came home saying that he felt great, could think more clearly, was less distracted. I'm very hopeful but want to talk I his doctor about it. Can you email me the article? I would be very grateful. Thank you!
