Anyone home-schooling (or virtual school) their child?

We have been considering doing this for our daughter in the Fall instead of her going into middle school. She is pretty far behind in reading and math, which also affects all the other subjects. This past year it seems as if they are following her IEP and "showing" that she is making progress, but at the same time it seems they are just pushing her along.

Just would like any info anyone may have, pros or cons, the good, the bad and ugly regarding home-schooling and or using a virtual school/internet program.

Thanks!!

We just started virtual school and so far I like it. It can be a bit overwhelming at first but you need to sit down and make a schedule. My daughter was bullied last year in middle school so we pulled her out of the public school. She has the same amount of classes(7) but they give her the assignments up front instead of one a day.

Ditto!! I would love any feedback or suggestions for my 11yr daughter for next fall ( 1st middle school ). Julia is a gymnast full time and considering the on line or homeschooling for her as well. She struggles in math and reading but manages to get B's by end of the year.
