The use of fish oil is new to me. I would love to hear opinions of moms who have used it. What kind, how much, what were your results, etc. The studies I read last night were fascinating.

My son is currently taking omega 3's I'm not sure how much they are helping him right now. But he takes them with ease every morning in a gel capsule. He is 11 yrs old.

Well, because it thins blood a little bit, my son, who already gets nose bleeds easily, would constantly get them. We ended up going to the cod liver oil once a day.

it does not have to be specifically fish oil...here is a quote from the ADHD diet guide I received for my 8yr old daughter "5)FLAX SEED or PRIMROSE OIL. High sources of Omega oils. Borage oils and some fish oils are good as well. Very important. Mix about a spoonful a day into foods as you prepare them, or add to salad dressings, etc. "
I found if you mix it into yogurt, especially flaxseed oil...you don't even notice it...smoothies,,,,into the peanutbutter before spread onto sandwich...even into salad dressing bottles.....just do not heat it up...the nutritional properties are stripped away when heated.

I've tried numerous brands for my 7yr old, he cant stand the taste and it's a huge battle. Finally found one that he'll take but it's covered in sugar and has 'natural' red and yellow flavours? Dont know but at least he is happy to take it. Usi
