I have a good friend that has a daughter that is adhd. My daughter also has adhd and very little friends and since they go to the same school and are the same age i thought that maybe they could be friends. Well it has been a week of playing at the park almost everyday and I must say I've found they are a perfect match! Both are high energy and jump from one thing to another and I've noticed that they are very good at taking turns with their random ideas. It makes both me and my friend very happy to see our girls have someone to lean on and understand the stuggles they have. also us adults find it very comforting to know someone knows how good and bad life can be with an ADHD child. Plus at the end of the day bed time is much easier lol. just wanted to know if any one else has had this experience? does your adhd child get along well with other adhd kids?

Yes! My son is adhd and his ONLY good friend is my friend's daughter who was diagnosed add (although I think she is really adhd!) They seem to understand each other perfectly - which the other kids dont. The impulsiveness and not waiting turns etc seem to cancel out when they are together. I think they just understand each other better and can keep up with each others levels of energy...Interesting, hey?

My son's best friend is also ADHD and they get along great! They deffinately know how to let the other know where they are tired of their activity.. but for the most part, get along great! Sometimes its funny because they will both be at my house running wild together, then they will do their own thing for awhile, then go back to playing with each other as if the break was good enough (as long as they can hear each other they are always good to go)
