It's the end of another week. Please remember this is where we are accountable to ourselves and others. By writing down our weekly weigh in it provides us with that opportunity to see the progress and to share with others. Doing this tends to make it more 'real' and holds us to our word a bit more than just saying we're going to loose weight. This is not for any put downs it's for pull ups and/or push ups for ourselves and others.

Sooo, let's see how we did this past week. how much did you loose?

I was 201.5 this morning, which is about the same as I was last week. HOWEVER, we went on vacation to Disneyland this week and I totally just ate what I wanted, so no weight gain, I think, is awesome! I also only missed 1 day of working out, and even though I was tired from driving all day yesterday, I made myself get up to do my workout.
I gained 2.5 pounds after I started working out, but I am now down 1 pound from the gain. I am going in the right direction, I feel positive and I think my clothes are starting to feel a little better. I also didn't get sore from walking around Disneyland for 2 days like I usually do. Yea!

Hi all, I am also new to the group. I joined today, and when I weighed myself I was 235lbs. This is by far the largest I have ever been. Only a few years ago I was 120 lbs, so this is hugely disappointing to me. My son is almost 16 months old now, and I weight about 35 lbs more now than when I was 9 months pregnant. I am hoping that this group will help me to reach my goal of 50 lbs by the end of this, and then keep me motivated to lose the next 50 by my 10 year high school reunion next year.

Hello! My name is Renee. I am new to the group also. Weight has been an issue all my life- At my heaviest, I weighed 332 lbs. I have not admitted that to anyone, other than my doctor. I now weigh 257 but seem to be 'stuck' but I have to admit that I don't watch what I eat religiously, nor do I exercise as I should. I am hoping for some support and ideas, recipes, etc. So, I guess that's my weigh in for the week, right??

When my daughter Mazie was born I was 225lbs. Now she's 21months and I'm185lbs. I decided when Mazie turned 1, I needed to do something about this weight problem. I've allways been a small person in the past, averaging at a size 4/6 at 5'4". Going through a failing marriage, divorce, and a pregnancy all within a year and a half really took a number on my body.

I'm finally happy again and love being a single mom. And after being single for 2 years i'm ready to feel good about my body and start dating again.

I'm new to this group and want to see if it wil help with the weight lost.

Good Luck on your goals everyone! :-)

Welcome Heather and I second Sonya. Check out the other posts to see what others are doing.

I've been there. I clearly remember going to my OB on Jan 5th and was so depressed I was crying in his office. He thought something was happening between my husband and myself - it was just that I was feeling so down on myself. This was the day that I went out right after the doctor appointment and got the Joy's Life Diet Book and started my lifestyle change. Almost (yea!!!) 50 pounds later I am still following the suggestions in the book and don't really feel like I'm on a diet, just making healthier choices and staying away from the foods that I know would get me in trouble (like strawberry surprise cake).

Good luck and best of wishes.

I have got to have some motivation. I went to the doc to date for a bad cold and just about fell off the scale. I have never been this big in all my life and I am so ashamed that I let my weight get this far out of control. I will be glad to accept any tips to get a start on getting this weight off. My baby is 6mths, so that is not excuse to be getting bigger and bigger. So post away ladies.

Ahh I am back!!! It was a stressful week, and I must say the scale was not keeping my hopes up as I gained 2lbs, =( but on another note, I am getting back full force this week with my workouts, and I am not QUITTING!!! I still feel healthier than before and I love keeping up with the kids!

I am done nursing this week, so my weight wont be so alll over during the day. I am hoping that I will not get the extreme carb cravings as I did the last time I quit nursing with my first baby.

So this morning I weighed in at 161 which is a .5 pound weight loss. Oh well. I'm figuring plateau right about now. Except this evening I splurged at dinner. There wasn't really anything decent on the menu so I ordered six wings and had my salad first. This just wasn't cutting it. I think because I got the carb taste (like Alyson) that I couldn't stop myself - I had a few fries, a bite of the bread stick, then came home and had a part of a chocolate banana brownie I made. Any one of these alone would have been alright but adding them all together... I'm not sure I'm going to want to see the scale in the morning.

As for Alyson and the carbs... I hear ya!!!! I'll get those cravings but I notice they are more so when I've indulged in some carbs already. My hard part is stopping. Once I start with the carbs I really can't stop myself. I am hopeful that tonight I'll manage myself better for the remainder of the evening. Maybe go brush my teeth to get the sweet taste out. Then I'll have some of the diet green tea which in the past has given me that sweet reward when I want desert. But I struggle... even as I write this I am thinking about getting another brownie.... I know, I've come too far to turn back now. (OK so ya'll have to read my inner struggles, sorry).

Anyway - Hope you all are doing well and keeping yourself motivated to do the right thing. Good luck Alyson as I too try to avoid the carbs.

Again no change:( still 251/252 lbs BUT we swam 2 km in the pool this morning:) So, we are getting stronger and have more endurance.

One thing I have noticed this week is the incredible and intense carb cravings I'm having...If it has flour or sugar I have to have it...its sub conscious. Does anyone else get this way? How did you deal with it???
