hey there. i'm still trying to figure this out too. i thought i'd forgotten how i got to this site in the first place about a week ago, but i managed to bumble my way back to it! my husband is a member of the rcmp and has been for just over a year now. we've been married almost 4 years and i think we've both adjusted fairly well to shift work and all that. our daughter is 6 months old and she just delights us both so much! my husband doesn't even grumble too much when she makes too much noise while he's trying to sleep to catch up from his last night shift. we are in a small town so i'm not too worried about what could happen to him at work even though i am fully aware that just because we're somewhere remote doesn't mean that the "bad guys" don't come here. i'm planning on being a stay at home mom and we want to add a few more kids to our family before we're done. i'm debating home schooling so that we have more freedom to work with with my husbands shifts for going away for a few days and stuff. but that's still a long ways off...
