Hi, Tara! I'm new to this place. I know you posted this a long time ago, but just thought I'd say 'hi' anyway :)
I'm also married to a correctional officer, and have a two-year-old son.

Hi Tara. I used to work in a prison and married a police officer. I found that having spent years working in the prison gave me the necessary understanding to survive life being married to a cop. I've seen almost as much as he has! But I find that the job for Correctional Officers is even more difficult sometimes than a police officer. I know what both go through on a shift, and I think I would worry more for mine if he worked in the prison! Here's to them both coming home safe!
