What time is bedtime? Our son is 9 and will be 10 this year. His bedtime is 8:30 but we have considered moving it to 9:00 so I was curious what time is everyone’s bedtime for their kids…

Our Son is 9 and we started putting him to bed at 9 at the end of last school year. He gets up at 7am not sure when yours gets up. We started doing this so I had time to put my 2 yr old to bed at 8 and he could fall asleep before my 9 yr old went to bed or they play.

My 10 yr old goes to bed at 9:30 pm, wakes up at 6:30 and has been that way since he was in 3rd grade...this way i get some alone time with him after his little brother goes to bed.

My 9 year old daughter goes to bed at 9:00. She is up by 7. We have been doing this time for a few years now.

Right now, my daughter goes to bed at 9:30a, since that's when her older sister goes to bed. But I gotta tell you, that's about to change. This week has been hell - temper tantrums, crying - the works. I'm moving it back to 9p and if her behavior doesn't improve - back to 8:30p. Just to be clear, I'm not changing her bedtime as a punishment - I really think that lack of sleep is the root cause of her behavior.

My daughter has been going to be at 9:00 for while, but she doesn't get up until 7:30. It all depends how easily they wake up in the morning, and adjust accordinly.

I did just this this school year with my oldest son. He loves it. We told him that as long as he got up good for school and wasn't cranky or fighting with his siblings he could continue this "special prvilage". He has done great!!
