Anyone have a child with a chlorine allergY?

My four year old daughter has struggled with allergies, asthma, and eczema all her life. She has had a blood and skin allergy test done, which shows she is allegic to egg whites, fish, milk, certain molds, and dust mites. She also seems to be allergic to red dye. During the Summer her eczema flares and she breaks out in hives all over. We have a pool that is chlorinated, and I am concerned that this is breaking her out. However, she only tends to break out in the hives when it is extremely hot and sunny. If she gets in when the sun goes down, she tends to be ok. Has anyone experienced this? How about sunscreen? What is the best for very sensitive skin? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds just like my daughter! When mine was 2, I used Clorox Anywhere spray on her high chair...and when it was dry she sat down and got a rash all over! Heat also makes her skin act up really badly, too. I asked the dr. if she was allergic to bleach (chlorine bleach) and he said it was probably just the sensitivity of her skin. Sounds like you guys might have a combo of sensitivity to chlorine and heat, too. My dd has done a lot better this year with pools and heat, but she is also on daily hydroxozine which is like 24 hour benadryl, so that could be helping, too. I also have finally completely eliminated all of her allergens from her diet. Good luck - I know how tough it can be! For three and a half years I felt like I was sinking in quicksand with this stuff and we finally got on top of it, but I want to get her off this daily medicine, too. :/
