I am a Food Allergy Liason. I am a "stepping stone" for the beginning stages of dealing with food allergies. When my son was diagnosed, all of our doctors gave us was an Epipen, some benadryl but never gave us information on what foods to use to keep him healthy. I can help by supplying recipe ideas, products that we have used, websites and even a month's worth of menu ideas to get you started with a little less confusion and stress. Jo-

The best thing you can do is to educate family & friends around your child NOT to feed Riley. I think it's natural that people want to feed kids :) Encourage people to wash their hands/mouth if they have eaten anything with the allergic foods in them, always carry Benadryl & an Epipen at all times (just be prepared) and make sure you bring Riley's foods everywhere. The other big thing would be to get a MedicAlert bracelet, necklace or they make bands that attach to shoes- this is a visual reminder for people to keep your child safe. I hope that helps and let me know if I can ever help further!

Hi Tracy, Riley (10 months) was diagnosed with Allergies to Wheat, Yeast, Egg, Peanut & Orange. We live in Australia and have found lots of foods free of these items. I figure as he is on 10 months i'm ok with his food as he is not eating a lot of cakes, biscuits, breads etc. Any advice would be appreciated tho. Jo
