Does anyone have any recipes for someone with a severe milk and dairy allergy???? I'm looking for meals but mostly interested in cakes..... I'm trying to plan my sons first birthday ( even though I know its a few months off) Any and all ideas, recipes are welcome! Thank you

Believe it or not, Pillsbury cake mixes do not have milk in them. And they have canned frosting that also does not have any milk (but check the labels because I believe some flavors do have milk). My son has a milk and peanut allergy so that is what I use to make cakes.

My son has a milk allergy and here is the cake recipe I make for him for bdays.

Chocolate Crazy Cake
3 c. flour ¾ c. oil
2 c. sugar 2 Tbsp. vinegar
6 Tbsp. cocoa 2 c. cold water
1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda

Set oven to 350 F.
Mix dry ingredients together first, then add wet ingredients, mix well.
Bake in a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan for 35-40 minutes.
Remove and cool.

My son is allergic to all dairy and eggs, I found Duncan Hienz has about 4 different flavor cake mixes that have no dairy (we add egg substitute). I used the Red Velvet for his 1st birthday.

the food & allergy anaphylactic network has a recipe for a cake that is dairy free (also egg free). I made it for my son's first birthday. I can't remember it. Just check it out!

I have 2 kids with milk allergies too, so I have come up with some milk free recipes. We all also have a wheat allergy, so all my recipes are gluten free, too. You could make them all with wheat flour, I'm sure. If you'd like to share my recipes, feel free to message me here. :) I just put some killer GF Chocolate Muffins in the oven, milk free. :) MMMMMMM Chocolate.
