I am writing to see if anyone has any information on milk and soy allergies. My 7 month old has been battleing them (well I gues I have been battleing for him since we are BF) since about 3 weeks old. He had problems with blood in stools and ezcema. I have been on a restricted diet and aside from the occational mess up while learning to read ingredients, he has been doing well. The last time he had blood in his stool was around 4 months. He will still get a patch of ezcema on his cheek here and there. The doctor told me I could start trying to introduce some dairy back into my diet. I am scared to death! Luke was a totally different baby while we tried figuring out this allergy thing, I like the non reactive Luke better if you know what I mean. The poor little guy had a constant tummy ache and I just don't want to be the cause of that! Does anyone have any advise on reintroducing allergins to "test" if babys are outgrowing them? Also, I am looking for info on goats milk formula for babies under a year (the dr told me I could try that too but didn't give any instructions, all I have to go on are online recipes). Does anyone know what age they will do actual allergy testing because his diagnosis is based purly on the elimination diet, no tests other then to confrim there was blood in his stool have been done. Any information would be most helpful! sorry this is so long!
