Hi Stefanie,

I have three.
I would recommend joining the Mom Safety Alerts application on face book.
You will be notified of all food related recalls and health bulletins regarding allergies and child health.
It appears to be a new application but I have already received some really good information from them in a timely manner.

Thanks,

Hina

The app can be found at:

Quoting Tina:

Hi, my name is Tina and I have a two yesr old son who has allergies to milk, eggs, peanuts and possible other nuts. He im sure also has certain intolorences to added flavours to foods also. I find it also very hard to find foods to make for him as well as find foods he will eat. Im at the point of not coping very well as he also is not talking and find it adds more stress to the whole food issue. I do have some cook books that help but not everything he is able to eat he wants to eat as he is also very fussy. The book i bought is called Friendly Food, but really im after a special cook book designed just for kids. Anyone with help would be very helpfull too.

Thanks

Tina

Hi Tina,

I'm in the same boat with my 16 mo old son.  He's allergic/intolerant to everything and I'm feeling just like you---having a very hard time coping with this and there seems to be so little help for us.  The docs tell us what to feed them but don't seem to realize that we're dealing w/ babies here who won't eat like an adult eats.  You can't rationalize with an infant/toddler.  I hope someone can provide some suggestions for you, I'm also at my wits end.

Hi Stefanie,

I have this book The Everything Allergy Cookbook. In it is dozens of recipes with the allergenes that are NOT in the recipe listed at top. It has everything from entrees to desserts to side items, etc. Check it out! Do you have a health food store near you? There are dozens of mixes that are allergen free as well that makes everything from dairy free cheese sauce, wheat free cookie mixes, etc.
