I have an almost 9 year son that was diagnosed with celiac disease and eosinophilic esophagitis nearly 1 year ago. He was constantly feeling like something was in his throat/clearing his throat and had chronic gas. Upon endoscopy and biopsies they found both of the above diseases. We have been on a gluten free diet for a year. I feel like we have a handle on the celiac but need advice on the EE. He has had skin and blood testing for allergies and has no food allergies. He has mild environmental allergies. We placed him on swallowed inhaled steroids, zyrtec and singulair for 1 month with no resolution of symptoms. We then started him on prilosec to see if it was related to reflux. The symptoms went away so we thought we had found the source of the problem. Now 6 months later, still on prilosec, the symptoms have returned. Our Dr here is a pediatric gastroenterologist but seems to have no answers. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I,m not a doctor but have been reading about leaky gut syndrome (which I have ) now I would try cutting down on milk ,yogurt and cheese BUT please make sure you replace it with sheeps/goats milk coz your son is still growing and NEEDS the "things" in milk
I was once told by a very good homeopath ....."if you put it in your mouth and you dont like it DONT eat it!!) dont tell your son this but if he really doesnt like stuff dont make him eat it

You have been through such a lot with him it may be good to ignore some of it .....Dont think I,m being rude but sometime "we" as parents worry coz our children dont eat ...

I do so feel for you ....feeding your children is hard when they have problems .Now one other thing he may not have allergies to some foods but may be intollerant which meeans the body doesnt want it at the moment

Good Luck jennifer
