My 11 mo son grabbed eggs off my plate about 2 months ago and shoved them in his mouth before I could stop him. 5 minutes later he had hives all over his face.
He was seen by a pediatric allergy specialist this past week and tested positive for eggs and milk and possibly peanuts. We are going for the RAST blood draw on Tuesday to see how allergic he is to each.
What are good websites that I can go to in order to find allergy friendly recipes? I found egglesscooking.com 3 weeks ago - I had to make an egg-free cake for his Baptism b/c we were not sure if he was allergic at that time. I have made all his food from the time he started solids and I love to cook, so I am actually looking forward to the challenge of adjusting recipes. (Even though I wish I didn't have to).
Thanks for your help.

I ordered "Allergy Proof Recipes For Kids" from Amazon.com and have found it to be SO helpful! The cake recipes weren't so great so I have googled Vegan Recipes, Allergy Proof Recipes for Kids, etc. I have only found maybe 1 recipe from each website that 1) meets my sons needs and 2) calls for common ingredients instead of specialty ones that are more expensive. I made an egg free and dairy free Elmo cake for my sons 1st birthday and though it took 4 different recipes, I found it to be very good and he loved it! Hope this helps!

hi im with you!! we have been there, but dont worry you will find it will get easier as you get better at doing cooking,my 8 year old has had it all her life, but our 2 younger kids are ok,now they all eat the same my little boy who is now 6 makes sauage rolls made without egg,but beause our 8 year old dosent eat egg he makes themwith egg.you can buy something called 'no egg' im in australia so im not sure about the us hopefully the same, i think it is mainly potato flour, you can buy from a health food shop,im sure if ask they will know.you can use this as any egg replacer,it can take a while to get used to.you can also use rice milk or almond or soy if he is ok with it.have a look on kids spot web site, they have allergy receips, but now i just look up norm receips now and just add soy milk and no egg in.hope this helps .good luck
