Outgrowing food allergies?

Just wondering if anyone has had the luck of their child outgrowing some or all of their food allergies and when it happened for them.
My 18-month old son began with milk, egg, soy, peanut, and wheat allergies. By 12 months, wheat was no longer an issue, but all his other antibody levels went UP in a blood draw taken at 13 months. He qualifies for a graded soy challenge, but it's a little taxing for one so young who is teething (no food before or during the 4-hour challenge), so I'm holding off on that for a while.
I'm just hoping that others have had luck because right now, even contact with foods, causes reaction. His entire face swelled up and broke out in hives for 10 hours when he simply grabbed an egg SHELL out of the trash can and rubbed his eye area :o( Tell me I have room to hope please.

My now 5 yr. old daughter had allergies like ur son and luckily she's outgrown all hers...no she can have some of the best things and I dont have to worry...Good luck

my girl is now 8,and she had wheat,dairy,egg and peanut.the wheat is fine now (thank god that one was hard) she can now have dairy,but she chooses not too she is used to soy.the egg and peanut have got worse,why this is who know why? as they say usaly by 7 they out grow most times.i hope all is good with your little boy it can be stressful

My son was allergic to milk until he was 3 years. Now nothing.

Wow, your son is allergic to exactly what my son is allergic to. Though my son's levels are all pretty low, so he can eat those things. I think he's starting to grow out of them though because at 2, his eczema would act up if he ate those foods, but now at 4 he can eat those foods and doesn't affect him at all, in fact, his eczema is starting to go away. My husband also has a cousin who's daughter had all those same food allergies and out grew them by the time she was 5. So it's possible. :)

My nearly 4 yr old son has allergies to eggs, dairy, soy, peanuts and a bunch of non food things. He is starting to outgrow the dairy allergy and hopefully in a years time he will be able to do a dairy challenge. The other allergies are still getting worse though so no end in sight for most. He is very very sensitive to egg (touch etc is a problem) still.

my son was born allergic to wheat ,soy,peanuts,treenuts and eggs.... he out grew the wheat and soy by the time he was 2 ... the others are still off the charts at a ++++4 on the scale.... he can' t even be touched by these things .... unless God intervenes he will not outgrow the others for awhile
