Hi Meredith, thanks for your prompt response. I have so many things to ask but i know time will answer all those things. Only thing what i feel that i can ask you is if bed rest is going to disturb the daily routine. Doctors have advised me already that after 3rd month of my pregnancy i will go to bed rest until the date of delivery. Is it practical?
I am simply a house wife and my husband is also very cooperative, he is also ready for this but i am always doubtful. I am thankful to you as your wishes are also there for me. Please be in touch, if you do not mind then can you please share your facebook id with me also. If possible only. Kind regards..... Roopa

Hi Roopa,
I am glad I could share my story with you. Let me know what other questions I could answer about my case. My drs don't know what caused the issues with my cervix because I had a prior pregnancy with no issues...I think it might have to do with my miscarriage and having to undego an emergency D& C. I am just lucky they caught the issue is time. I was sent directly to the hospital from my 20 week sonogram where the notice the issue. I waited for the specialist to come and stitch my cervix closed. I spent the night in the hospital and was put on pills to prevent labor from starting. I then spent 1 month on bedrest and was only allowed to leave the house to have a songram every week to measure my cervix length. After the month I was lucky to have no changes so they took me off bedrest. I was extremely nervous so my drs only sent my back to work for 20 hours a week the second month. By then I was 28 weeks so I went back to Full Time but still had to go for sonograms every other week. I still took it easy and wasn't able to lift anything heavy. I went full term and had a healthy baby. I haven't decided to have more children yet but the drs said they would monitor me more closely if I get pregnant again. The stitches were unable to be fully removed but the drs said they did their job perfectly and will only help in the future. Let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck, Meredith

Hi Meredith, thanks for giving me courage. I am really motivated with your reply and want to know some more about your case if allowed. Doctors has advised me also for cerclage for my future pregnancy and they have also advised me for bed rest after 3 months of pregnancy. As i have lost one child so there is always one doubt in my mind that how it will go this time. I am ready to do anything, doctors advising me 6 months bed rest and i am ready for whole 9 months but i need my baby safe this time.
Maximum of my daily hours are going only in searching any reason to keep my self happy and that is why i am reading your reply 10 times in a day. Thanks and gesture is really appreciated.

I am so sorry for your loss. I only had a misscarriage and that was hard enough. I can only imagine what you are going through. I was blessed to become pregnant again but this time when I went for my 20 week sonogram the tech noticed that my cervix was shortening. Not sure if that is similar or like what you had because I had. The dr ended up giving me a cerclage - where they put stitches in my cervix to keep it closed. Luckily they caught my issue early and I was able to carry my son to full term. I would definelty talk to your dr to see what they can do to ensure you have a sucessful pregnancy. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.....
Hugs, Meredith
