Stillborn Birth Certificates for Bereaved Mothers

I am the Mother of a fullterm stillborn son named My'Kel who recently turned 1 years old on January 19! Becoming a Bereaved Parent is the hardest thing in my life I have ever had to go through. I am from Kentucky & here in Kentucky parent's who give birth to a stillborn do not receive a birth certificate! Are we the only state that doesn't receive a birth certificate? It's hard enough coping with the loss of your only child but to deny a parent of what other living children's parents receive is so much worse! Please log onto our website at & check out our work & our Stillborn Birth Certificate Petition. You do not have to live in KY to sign it or even to leave a comment. Every vote counts!

I'm also seeking help & understanding on how to cope with his birth, death & burial all in one month. Does it get easier? PLEASE help!

Thank you, Missy Bereaved Parent

hI MISSY, i live in Louisiana and when my daughter Allysia was born still on April 13th, 2002 i also only received a deathcertificate .

My daughter would have celebrated her 10th Birthday this year - i dont know if i would say it gets easier - but you do learn to accept what happened to our angels and that makes it easier to move forward.

My daughter is still a part of our family - and we still include her name - she is our sweet angelgirl forever .

If you see this, leave this form field blank.
