I am naming my daughter Kathryn Deyanna (prnounced like Deana). Kathryn is after my great grandmother whom I lost recently she was 103 when she passed and Deyanna is after both my parents DEY are my dads initials and anna is my moms middle name.

My son's name is Jonathan Alexander

Jonathan for his fathers late uncle also meaning "gift from god" (he was a HUGE surprise) and J for James (his fathers name)

Alexander for the meaning "defender of man" also A for April

My daughter's name is Monika Julialee.

Her daddy picked out her first name(from one of his favorite video games and oddly enough the character is biracial) and her middle name was my grandma's middle name.

Her middle name was gonna be Julialee no matter what(my older sister would have used it if she'd have had a daughter but she just had boys) cause I knew it'd mean a lot to my mom.

I'm white and my boyfriend is black. We named our son Kavari Konday (middle name is his dad's middle name), I picked it out. And our daughter is Kelise (ka-lease) JoAnn (JoAnn is my grandmother's name), her dad picked it out. I love the names we picked. We get comments all the time from strangers in stores when they hear our children's names. All of the comments are positive, they tell us the names are beautiful and always want to know how we picked them out because they are so rare.

Great combination! I named my daughter Kathleen Danielle: Kathleen for the strong streak of Irish ethnicity in her lineage, Danielle for my greatly beloved grandfather, who was Daniel. Since her father was Chinese, we ended up with a baby who had an Irish first name, a French middle name, and a Chinese surname. Very multicultural!

Choosing my daughter's name wasn't easy. To me that is a really big decision to make because you don't want your? I love the name you chose.I named my daughter Bianca Luna. She is Puerto Rican and Italian. My fiance wanted to name her a spanish name but we decided she would be correcting people her whole life on the pronunciation of it so I chose her first name and he chose the middle name. Her name is italian and spanish. Bianca in Italian meaning white and Luna in Spanish meaning moon and when you say her whole name since most spanish men have 2 last names so my daughter's name is pretty long. I take it the baby in your pic is your daughter and she is such a precious little thing. God Bless her

I have Destiny Jeanne because the first name was kinda popular and the middle because it was my grandmothers for my first daughter, then my second daughter is Serenity Rose thanks to the serenity prayer and she was beautiful like a rose, and then my son Daunte Keyshawn because it sounded good plus i let my husband name him since i named the girls...but we cannott for the life of us come up with another boys name!!!!

My daughter's name is Tiara Alexis
Tiara bc it means crowned and she is our lil princess
Alexis bc it sounded good with Tiara and plus I love that name. Her father picked out Tiara. My first choice was Trinity but my mother did not like it.
My son"s name is Treyvonne Lee
I have always loved the name Treyvonne and we call him Trey. Plus it means 3 and he was the third Grandchild. And there names both start with a T.
Lee bc that is his father's middle name.

My baby boy is Tyrese Joaquin.

His father named him Tyrese, I didn't like it at first, couldn't imagine a baby named Tyrese! But now I love it.

I chose Joaquin, for no specific reason, I have always loved it :)

We named our son Zion Stephen. Depending on where you look it up, the names do have different meanings. We go by the biblical meanings.
Zion = Raised Up
Stephen = Crown
His last name means from a wealthy estate. Zion is also a very prominent name in the Rastafarian culture. (Daddy is Jamaican!) :) His middle name is after my late father and also my boyfriend's best friend since childhood.

Just a little comic relief here, with the warning that, although this is a joke, it's also entirely true:

I used to work with two young men who were twins. As fraternal rather than identical twins, they looked NOTHING like each other. Apparently one of the parents was Hispanic, for the one twin was not too tall, slender, brownish in complexion, with black hair and brown eyes. The other parent must have been of very Nordic ethnic origins, for the other twin was tall, sturdy, and completely blond and blue-eyed.

And--well, I can't help believing that the parents must have been using some kind of illegal substance when it came time to choose the names for their boys. As it turned out, the small dark one was named "Eric," while the big blond blue-eyed one was named-- "Carlos"!!!

Go figure....

We named ours Koen (means bold and daring) Dimaro (his mom wanted to name him it but couldnt) LeRoy (after his grandfather) we had so many names to choose from we ended up with three but I love them all :P

Each of our boys have certain meanings behind their names, which is a lot to get into, but I will try to break it down as easy as possible:

Stephen Elijah Daniel - Stephen = my FIL's middle name; Elijah = Biblical name (and name he goes by); Daniel = Hubby's middle name

Justus Ezekiel Gordon - Justus = name we came up with after reading a passage in the book of Romans; Ezekiel = Biblical name, and hubby wanted this for our first born, so I compromised and gave it to our 2nd; Gordon = hubby's middle name (and his grandfather's first name)

David Isaac Anthony - David = hubby's uncle who died of cancer in '06; Isaac = hubby's grandfather's middle name (and name he goes by); Anthony = my Dad and brother's middle names.

At home, we call our first born Stephen Elijah, but he's known as Elijah to everyone else. Our 2nd child is known as Justus and our 3rd is known as Isaac. Confusing? Sometimes, but it's really not. Looking at them, their names suit them so well. I sometimes think what would have happened if we had given them other names. It's amazing how much power a name holds.

I am french/irish and my ex-husband is puertorican. He wanted Julitza for our daughter, but I knew my old fashioned parents would have never pronounced it right so we named her Janessa Angelique instead and everyone was happy. (Except my mother in law wanted us to spell is Yanessa but I said no)

My son's name is Asa Lynn. Was going to name him Ace or Jaelyn ( Coming from my Dad's name Jeffrey Lynn who was killed when I was one) but everybody was naming their little boys Jaelyn or something similar and I like uncommon names. Found King Asa in the Bible and it stuck. I'm sure he will go by Ace when he's older tho.

Our son is Anthony Joseph Lerotholi. Me and my husband wanted to reflect both families in his name. Lerotholi is my husband's family name (it's Sesotho from Lesotho South Africa), Joseph is after my late Uncle John who lost his battle with cancer a couple of years earlier. And then we spent months going through the baby name book to find a first name that would go well with the rest of the name and we decided on Anthony and I'm glad we did, the name really suits him and I think it will for life.

Sebastian-is a greek name it means strong warrior ( I am Greek)
Malcolm Xavier is my second boy I picked his name cause I liked the way is sounds, although I didn't realize till I got his SS card that his name is Malcolm X...lol
Theodosia Beth is the older girl
Theodosia- means gift from GOD in Greek and it is also my Aunts name who is the oldest female of my family and it is tradition to name the first born girl after the eldest woman.
Beth- after my best friend..we pinky swore when we were kids that we would name our little girls after each other.
Annaliese Christina is the youngest
Annaliese- means consecrated to GOD in Greek
Christina- means Christ bearer in Greek her name is my mothers name in reverse my moms name is Christina Ann.

I names my daughter grayselynn Renay. It sounds like Gracelynn but the reason I named her that is because I've always liked the name Grace but I hear it alot and the spelling is always the same so I changed it up and spelled it Grayse. Lynn is in there because its my moms middle name and she has been with me from the beginning, supporting me and such. So thats how I got Grayselynn. Renay is my great great grandmothers middle name and I wanted her to be a part of it as well.

lol ok get ready!! my son's name is... Olatunde Daniel Oluwakayode. His father is Yoruba, so I wanted to keep the traditional name.
His first name means My wealth has come back.
I gave him Daniel, because his father thought he should have a common name, if he doesn't want to use his traditional name. Finally, Oluwakayode..because 'God brings happiness'. Love it too much, and thought it was a bit long for a first name in Canada. ha ha ha!!

I am white and my boyfriend is mixed. We names our son Dre'lyn Josseph (pronounced like jaylen but add the 'r' )

We couldn't agree on a boy's name and we wanted something unique!! My boyfriend is from Maryland and one day we were on our way there to his parents for a visit. We were goin back and forth and finally I said "why don't we just use SOME of the letters from Maryland and make name?" So that's what we did !!!! His middle name Joseph is both of our brother's middle names and my boyfriend's grandfather's first name !!!

We plan to name our daughter Amya Inez. Amya because I love that name and Inez after my boyfriend's mother !!

When I was pregnany I wanted to name my daughter Kaiya and then I heard it in a Bob Marley song a looked it up and it said it was related to Marajuana. I thought it was a little too much bc her dad has dreads and all so we looked for another name. My daughters name is Gabrielle (Feminin version Gabriel the Angel) and Myrtha (which was her dad's moms name. SHe passed away befopre Gab was born) Myrtha means full of Myrth or Happiness. I still had my heart set on Kaiya though

My son's name is Marley after Bob Marley and middle name is Ramon after dads middle name. We wanted Marley cuz it worked for either a boy or girl. It wasnt "too black or white" as soem people put. I get really annoyed at people that assume just because your child is bi racial that it will either an ethnic name or a country name!! I am expectin another in March and it will be a surprise again but if its a girl she will be named Antinette Elizabeth after my husband deceased mother and grandmother. I think a childs name shouldnt be as big of a deal as some make it! It doesnt matter the race to name a child!! It sould be meaningful to the mother and father not the rest of the world!! I named my daughter Zuri Taraji which means Beautiful Hope/Faith in Swahili. I am black and my husband is a first generation American whose father is Belizean and his mother is Mexican. Our last name Castillo is pretty Mexican and we wanted to even it out by giving her an "African" name. Most people ask if it's Suri like Tom Cruise's daughter but a co worker from Kenya thought it was the most beautiful name ever and I agree :-)

I am white and mu husband is black and we didn't want our daughter to have a name that sounded too much of either race, because we didn't know what her complexion would be like and what she would want to do when she is older. We wanted her to have at least a unique middle name and a first name that can be used in a professional way when she grows up. Her name is Alexandria Forever Hall. Alexandria was the only name my husband liked out of the ones I picked and he chose Forever as a middle name because it is unique and we tried to have her forever, (we were married 4 years before I got pregnant)! We love her name and people always compliment it when we tell them what it is!

Trinity has always been a beautiful name to me and I love the meaning. My husband and I met on the 23rd, he proposed on the 23rd, and my daughter was concieved around the 23rd. If I could have, I would have found a way to make that her name.
