what is your favorite baby shampoo for your child/children? and how do you take care of their hairs? Any tips to make healthy and beautiful hairs for your African mixed baby?

I have a newborn little girl, my husband is African (from Liberia) and I am white, however she has really fine curly hair, I am not sure about your child's texture but I found that Johnson's Curly Shampoo (it's green) and can be found in the baby section works great on her hair, it's shiny and soft.

I think it all depends on the consistency of your babies hair and bi-racial and multi-racial babies hair varies so much. My son is 9 months and his hair is very curly but still on the softer side. I use the Johnsons Coco and Shea butter shampoo about twice a week and I put the Johnsons Coco and Shea butter lotion in his hair every night. I love the smell too.

well i have to say after six months i have grown tired already of tugging at the snarls in my baby girls so i feel ya! i don't use shampoo at all because her hair is not dirty it is just nappy...there is a difference. right when she gets in the tub i but alba cocoa butter dry-repair conditioner and let it sit while she has fun. then comb it the snarls out and wash it out. then i put aura cacia sweet almond oil on her skin and in her hair. this oil doesn't really have a scent but you can add an esstial oil like lavender which is calming-calm is always good!-or any kind you like. although these products are not as cheap as some other ones i really don't have to use that much of them so they last forever. she uses the same products i trust on my body that don't have chemicals and i think they work great!

Olive oil is a really good choice because it doesn't clog the pores or stop hair growth, on the other hand it doesn't smell very good. I really like the olive oil hair moisturizer in a green bottle that you can get from target. I only wash their hair once maybe twice a week if it's really bad and then use the moisturizer after.

My daughter is 16 months old and I used to use baby oil but a very tiny bit. It actually slows down the growth of the hair though. Spray in detangler actually moisturizes the hair also so you can do that. I wouldnt use shampoo every day though because thats what drys the hair out. I use it every other day with my daughter and the days I dont I just rinse it really well.

Oh and also I wouldnt put too many products in it at a young age because its not very good for them and stuff like pink hair products has mineral oil which stops hair growth and clogs pores.

I use the johnsons shampoo for curly hair (the green one) and it keeps my daughters hair nice and fresh. I use it every other day unless she gets her hair really dirty because it dries out if you use it too much. I use spray detangler also right after her baths and that makes it easier to pick out. Also keeps it a bit softer.

I use "Target"store brand with lavender and chamomile for my son,he is four now and i still use it.I also use "just for me" smoothing gel on my daughter. Her hair is a wild mess if I don't put something on it.She loves to swim,so to keep the chlorine from damaging it,I use "pink lotion".Hope this helps:)
