First off, I never knew it was common for babies to be born with hair. All the babies I remember seeing were bald and just assumed the ones with hair were older! Bald babies are adorable! My now 14 month old was bald (black n white), besides a few little strands and peach fuzz, lol. It slowly grew into a mohawk with the sides coming in next. Now he has hair all over his head but the areas that came in first are the thickest. He still is relatively bald compared to some other kids. Since he has curls, they make him look balder as opposed to if I comb them flat. My friends baby has suuuper long hair and needed a hair cut at like 7 months cuz it was getting in his face. It is strange that some are born bald and some are born with hair but they all get it eventually :)

My kids were both bald at birth....my son still didn't have much hair at one year old. He's finally got a full head of hair at 2 and he's had 3 hair cuts so far. His hair is so thin though which is weird because his daddy and I both have very thick hair. My daughter is only 5 months so she's still bald, but she does have a little peacc fuzz and its red. I'm wondering if her hair will be red once it gets longer. Her eyebrows are also red. I'm told my boyfriend had red hair when he was a baby but its brown now. (i am mixed with black and white and boyfriend is white.)

I have 4 daughters, all biracial black and white. My first two, who are now 19 and 17, were from my previous relationship and they were both born with a headful of thick black curls. Managing their hair over the years was not always easy, as it only got thicker and more coarse over the years. My second two, ages 12 and 2 months, were born almost totally bald. my 2 month old is still a baldy. When my 12 year old finally got some hair, at about a year old, it came in as loose curls, and by 3 years old she had long pretty curly hair. She still gets compliments all the time on her hair. You son will probably start getting some hair soon, and you might miss the ease of the bald head :-) I know I did!

my son is half british half african and he was bald for like 10months, on his first birthday he had some hair which wasnt so thick and now he is five and oooh my he is like a hair amazon now. NEITHER OF THE TWO FAMILIES HAVE EARLY BALDING ISSUES so I didnt think it was a big deal

all my babies were born bald! they had a lil on top with that 1 lil curl..and my 7 month old was preemie, so she was born with a head full of hair but, as her head grew her hair didnt grow with it, so now she looks bald..it didnt fall out!

my older children didnt start to get hair until about 12-18 months, each child was different but, at one point all of them had hair to the middle of their back or to thier bottoms..they have more of my grade of hair than anything..Thick, curly like drop curls, not tight turls..and very long!
once it really begins to grow, its will grow in nice!
Dont worry!
at least your not going through the bald issue with a lil girl and I can have my baby in all pink and someone will say, is that a boy or a girl! REALLY? LOL

My daughter was bald until she was two and now she has a head full of hair. I have always heard that bald babies are the ones that end up with more. I wouldnt worry.

My 22 month old was born with no hair and still had no hair at 1 year. She is finally getting enough hair to put into little pony tails. She still has very little compared to her older sister who was born with a head full of hair and lost it all by 6 months! I have been told by my MIL that the 22 month old will end up with even more hair than her sister! I guess it's an old wives tale that the less hair at birth the more hair later on.... we'll see!

my daughter is white black and native american and she was bald for the most part and what little hair she did have started to fall out and she is two now and she has a head full but she was lacking in that area most of her first year you need to start putting stuff in it now to keep it moist so it will not dry out and come out and it will start to grow i am shure of that but then when he is like 18 months you will want it to go away cause the longer it is the wilder it is

My daughter was born looking like a "IT", she had hair everywhere lol but my son came out with absolutly NO hair and a lot lighter than my daughter. He now has almost blondish color hair and it's curly as ever, but his daddy won't let him grow it out and keeps it in a fade, but his hair does grow really really fast.

My son had thin black hair at birth and it all fell out soon after birth! He is 1 now and still only has a little bit of dark blonde/light brown hair on his head!

I ask myself the same question ... Will he ever have a full head of hair?!?

All three of my children were born bald. They now all sport a full and thick head of hair. Their hair seemed to only really start growing around the 8 month period and they all needed their 1st haircut at about 2 years of age.

My son is 5 weeks old he is half dominican and half irish. When i was born i had a head full of hair, as everybody else in my family. When he was born he had VERY little hair and to top it off it was RED! We were all suprised to say the truthe. But his hair has already started growing in, even eyebrows which he had none at birth!
