Just wondering who else has a biracial child who is blond or had blond hair at some point. I'm white and my husband is black with we are told native american and filipino mixed in. Our son came out with a full head of straight dark brown hair and a nice tan color that got a bit darker as he got older and his hair became thick soft fat curls, so we were shocked when his little sister came out with straight (even finer hair) that was a very strawberry blond and no tan, I mean she is whiter than me practically. I'm very fair and blond haired. Except for having my husbands nose, she looks exactly like me from hair, eyes, skin, lips (well debatable if they are mine or his lol I have large lips). She's now 3 weeks old and her face "appears" to be getting a very slight tan but it's hard to tell, her eyes are darkening up but can't tell if they will be brown, dark grey or hazel. I wish there was a way to tell what she will look like. She's absolutely beautiful but I think I'm still shocked at how different she and her brother are.
For those of you that have a biracial child that is blond, does your child look mixed or do people commonly think they are exclusively white? I'm honestly worried that people will make nasty comments and I've been very worried since the day she was born. Already had one guy at my husband's job say, "You know it's not possible for you to make a blond haired blue eyed baby" that was like within a few days after she was born.
Anyways I'm honestly just really curious learning more about it since it totally took me by suprise.
