When I learned how to braid, I watched videos on youtube!! Just put in cornrows, or braiding and there are plenty of examples to watch so that you can practice. But like the other women said, it may not be worth the time.

I agree not to braid to young, especially mixed babies, because they tend to have good hair. But if you really want to braid it go to a shop and have someone teach you how. It takes awhile to get used to but once you get it you can't forget good luck

In my experience I have braided my daughter's hair my self and I have paid to get it braided. It was not worth my time or my money to braid it. Everytime I have it braided it comes out within 3 or 4 days. Also I am with Robin the last thing they need is damage done to their hair.

I would not braid it. We were braiding my son's hair, because it was so hard to take care of otherwise. Then I found these products called mixed chicks. You can get a trial set for .99 at www.mixedchicks.net. His hair is now so pretty. The curls just hang in ringlets, and it is never frizzy. It is nice to at least have the option, as braiding breaks off their hair. You would not want to braid it 100% of the time. I am a cosmetologist, and you would not believe how much damage braiding does to a small kid's hair; not to mention they don't really like having it done.
