Has anyone tried out CURLS and MIXED CHICKS hair products for babies & kids? My 9 months old son still has very soft, but full head of curls, but my 2 1/2 year old has big hair which is still very thick and curly in the front & top of his head, but getting straight and frizzy towards the back. The straight hair is more like African-American hair though, that looks like it has been straighten out. It seems like the Johnson's & Johnson's isn't doing the right job anymore....and I wanted to switch to something more organic. So I've found those two companies online and was wondering which one works better. Also does anyone have the same problem with how to treat mixed hair, that has 3 different structures like my son's ( curly on top, but straight on the sides and back of his head). Is his hair turning straight? Btw, I'm White with fair skin & dark blond straight hair, my husband is black.

i have tried and used many things (moslty organic brands)...my daughter is 2 and a half and her hair is 3c/4a but the top is more the typical "mixed" hair, the sides and back bottom are very soft and fine like white hair and the middle back is more like black hair. i love curls more for its variety of product and it smells great! mixed chicks didnt have much and it didnt provide enough moisture for my baby. also tho im not a fan of curls shampoo, not enough moisture either, seemed like i had to use alot and not much lather. with mixed chicks i have only tried kids products, i dont use adult product on her hair yet....one more thing, when u order from curls u can request a sample of something for free and it is actually a nice amount they give to sample. hope this helped and good luck!
