Diaper Rash?

My son pooped, kinda thin, he is teething, within thirty minutes he pooped again, this time his bottom and genitials were red and raw. touched him with a wipe even patting, he screamed, cried like he never has, his legs were shaking and he tried get away, then stuck him in the tub to see if the water would be less painful than the wipe still cried horribly, so started sticking him in the tub to clean him up instead of wipes. after spending all night of alternating A&D and Destin Maximum Strength by the morning time he is still slightly red and can be touched with a wipe again without the tears. his urine is stronger in odor than usual. is this from teething? has anybody else had this happen?

my son went through this too. But the was 2years old. I used EVERYTHING on gods green earth...i even got the doctor to perscribe something. Nothing seemed to work and the poor boy would bleed too. But i just slathered on the Destin nighttime stuff and NEVER let him sit in a wet diaper. As soon as he peed or pooped i had to change him. Its hard to see him kick and scream with every diaper change. I put a little neosporin on him too it helped him heal quicker. I changed his diet slightly too (which is easier said than done) it could be a yeast issue or diaper brand.also try and let him roam with no diaper on. Just gotta risk him peeing everywhere, just do it right after he pees in a diaper. Good luck! i know what ur going thru.

my daughter has had a bad rash a few times. one thing that helps is instead of using wipes or putting him in the tub, just get a warm washcloth to clean him. it is very gentle and will clean him well at the same time. also, if you have been using desitin for a couple of days and there is no improvement or it goes away and comes right back, ask the doctor for clotrimazole cream. it only needs to be applied once in the morning and once before bed and will usually have a rash cleared up completely in the first day of using it. i make sure to always have this on hand because it is the best thing i've ever used!

My daughter gets diarrhoea and nappy rash when she is teething but her urine doesn't smell any different to normal. We live in Australia and I'm not sure what kind of creams you have at your pharmacies but ask for nappy rash creams and it will ease the discomfort, and rash and redness will go away. Apply it everytime you change your son's nappy.
