I am Black, my fiance is Puerto Rican, i don't know if its because we're both considered minorities but I often forget that Im in an interracial relationship. It really didn't hit me until our son was born 2 years ago and people started asking if my son was mixed and i realized Wow yea he is. I know that my sound weird but does anyone else out there forget that their SO is of a different race until someone else points it out?

Yeah I forget until I need him to buy my hair products for me lol. thank goodness for smart phones so I can send him a pic of the product.

I'm white and my husband is dominican. I always forget that we are in an interracial relationship. Because race doesn't matter to me, hah. It kind of hit me when I went to my first child birth prep class and saw all the other couples and we were the ONLY interracial couple. But I'm exactly like you I completely forget that we aren't the same race, I just think of us as people haha.

Yes, I do all the time. I only think about it if someone points it out otherwise not. I don't see my husband as black and me as white, just as partners. Same with my daughters, they are just my beautiful daughters with a little bit of me and more of him in them.

Yes. I'm white, and I've actually forgotten there was a skin tone difference with multiple exes! It didn't matter if they were Black, Indonesian, or Mexican. And I constantly forget that my son is half Mexican until people give me odd looks! I just look at him and see the cutest set of dimples in Indiana!
I've actually told my husband on multiple occasions that it's so wierd that he's white... I don't usually date white guys (they're not as attractive to me), so it's REALLY odd that I ended up marrying one... it actually freaks me out a little bit that we are the same color of pale, to be completely honest.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who forgets.

Yes, I really never think about it unless it is brought to my attention. I just see my family as my family, not different colors. I am white and my partner is black.
