Not for sure what you whole post is, but for myself, I taught myself by watching a friend of mine who does braid and braid well. Also, I went out and got a head to practice on. I got mine at Sally's for like $40 bucks. I practiced on it until I got it down before I started on my daugthers' heads because I didn't want them suffering and hurting because I would be pulling the wrong way.

YouTube is a good place to look for some videos as well on learning to cornrow, box braid (which by the way, box braid is the easiest to start out with), and other kinds of braids. I hope this helped.
