I agree that pink lotion did nothing for my boys. I have always used frizz ease for coarse hair it has worked wonderfully. A friend of mine has a biracial daughter who also has very very thick hair and has always use frizz ease for coarse hair. Her daughters hair now remains so beautiful, shiny, and remains in the most perfect ringlets ever.I also agree that it may take trying different things to find out what works best for your child's hair. All hair types are different no matter the race and one product does not work for everyone. I have learned from cosmetology school that you should not apply any grease or hair products of the like kind directly to the scalp. Not sure about everyone else but where I am from this is a common misconception. When this is done it actually clogs the pores and prevents the natural oils from coming through and reaching the hair. Not saying you do this or anything just thought I would throw it out there.

i think it has a lot to do with the kid...you just need to try different things. Pink lotion does nothing for my sons hair but it could do somethin for someone elses. I used coconut milk on my sons hair and it makes it feel like a caucasians hair. so i would reccomend that you just try different things. One person said to leave conditioner in their hair the whole time they're in the bath.

Kids Organic w/ Shea Butter and Olive Oil its by African Best. My daughter is black/white/jamacian so the felling is mutual; after I found this my child hasn't cried since I got this stuff. Try to only wash their hair maybe twice a week but really once so you can keep the natural oils in there hair. You can find it at your local Family Dollar in the hair section if you have one in your state.

Don't wash the hair everyday. When you do wash it make sure you use a good conditioner on it just like you would your own hair.
