I'm white and my husband in dominican. I was just wondering if there were any other moms with half white and half dominican babies on here.
Our baby boy hasn't been born yet he's due April 30th. I just can't wait to see what he looks like!

am pregnant with my first baby half Dominicano and half white... am Dominicana and his daddy is white... this will be the first half white and Dominican baby in my family and in my husband family!!! my one older sister husband is from Egypt ( they have two kids a girl and a boy) and my other older sister husband is from Guyana but he is Hindu ( they also have a girl and a boy and other boy on the way) they look Dominican but also they look like if they are from India so now we just wondering about my son what he going to to look like :)

Janessa.... Im sorry, but you dont make any sense what so ever. How would you know how Dominican people feel about their heritage?! Every person is different and Dominicans sometimes have a mixture of ethnicities in them. My husband is a gorgeous Dominican and proud of every bit of it. If your obviously ignorant about a subject, please shut your mouth. The person asking the original question was simply excited about what her baby will look like. Why go off topic? Have a great day! !

I think this topic is kinda weird because Domicans are majority are mix with african and european and some are black. But there like to denied there african blood but love their european blood. So i do not think higly of anyone who denies there african background i just do not think highly of them because of that.

I'm white and my husbands Dominican we have two beautiful children and one on the way! Our two children look a lot like me! Especially my son! I'm hoping our next daughter will favor her father more! It just matters who's genes are stronger

I have to agree with Dariela, and also it is a bit confusing as to why my topic is weird, no where in my original post did I say anything about Dominicans not embracing their culture and backgrounds. My husband is full blooded Dominican and he loves who he is. Dominicans range from light, tan, and dark skin, and the Domincans that I know embrace their cultures and backgrounds.

My husband is Latin (Peruvian) and I am Irish/american, my daughter was born with jet black hair and light gray eyes, But her hair turned brown like mine and she has blue/green eyes like me which is weird because his brother had a baby with a Irish/american girl as well and their baby has really light brown hair and dark brown eyes. both mine daughter and their son have the fair skin color. I guess it depends on how dark your HUBBY is. My husband is not very dark so my daughter got the lighter skin color. I was excited too to see what my daughter was gonna look like. CONGRADS and good luck!!

I am expecting a half white, half mexican baby, and I am also curious what our son will look like! I know that Mexican is a little far from Dominican, but I have been dying to know what my mixed son will look like- it would be amazing if he got light eyes, but it's my understanding that hispanic (or any "darker" gene) usually is predominant.. Make sure to post pics of your beautiful baby boy when he gets here!

I'm Irish American & my daughter's father is Puerto Rican & Dominican. She's 7 months old, she has dark brown hair (the top is real tight curls & the back is very coarse, similar to a lot of Dominicans with African ancestry), dark brown eyes & her skin tone is similar to many light skinned Hispanics (she could pass as full Hispanic with her skin tone ; it also has changed drastically since she was born & still has been getting a little darker as the days go by.) She actually is darker than some of her cousins who are full Hispanic.. I guess it all just depends on genes.

Jacki thanks so much, it took us forever to figure out a little boys name! We loved the name Tristan though and knew that it was his name.
Dariela, it sounds like you have a BEAUTIFUL family! I bet your little one will be absolutely adorable. I can't wait to find out what our babies will look like :)

My son Elias is half white(me) and half Dominican. He looks exactly like his father but just a lighter version. With how light he is I thought he would have blue or green eyes instead he ended up with beautiful brown eyes just like his father. Congrats on you baby, what a cute name you picked out!

At first i wanted to have only one. I had at least 5 favourite boys' names picked, but we couldn't agree with my husband so at last we came with Martin. But i have always loved the name Sebastian as well. And here when sb was asking us they were so surprised and not very happy with the fact that the baby is going to have only one name, so at last we came with Martin Sebastian Barraza Shindarska. His surname first because in bulgarian language we have male and female gender when it comes to names and you can guess that my surname is a female one. And we can transform it with a masculine ending because of the lows here, so i prefer not to have my surname at all rather than everybody picking on him once he went to Bulgaria hahahahaha.
Speaking of the appearance of the baby i had a dream and a month later my husband had almost the same - that we are able to "take the baby out" of my belly for just some minutes and then put him back :) When i had the dream the boy looked just as his father, when he had it - the opposite, the boy was just like me :) Can't wait for this two months to pass and as Wendy says above to hold him in my arms....

We're naming him Tristan Miles Podhajser, my husband is dominican but his step father who adopted him was a white jewish man hence the Podhajser last name lol. So he has a european first name a pretty american middle name I suppose, and then a Jewish last name, with irish and dominican decent hah. It took us a while to agree on a boys name we had a girls name picked out since before I was pregnant so it was difficult to choose a boys name. But we finally agreed on Tristan. So we aren't doing the two first names. Are you going to give your baby two first names??

[deleted account]

hi Robyn!
I am in quite a similar situation, almost my husband is latin(chilean) and i'm european. I'm sure babies of mixed marriages are the most beautiful gifts ever :) my due date is 18th of may :). Are you going to give the baby two first names?

My daughter is half white and half Dominican. I'm white, her father is Dominican. I was excited as well to see whose features she's have more of. Her skin tone is pretty much inbetween me and her father's. She has brown eyes like him. He was afraid she'd be born with "kinky" hair (his words, not mine!) but it just has some curls in it...brown like mine though. I'm sure your boy will be adorable! :)

My husband is Puerto Rican (close enough) and I am white. He has black hair and brown eyes, I have blond hair and blue eyes. Our daughter is 18 months and she has light brown reddish hair and beautiful brown eyes, also she has slightly darker skin than mine which I hope will be like her fathers and tan rather than burn like mine. I was also so excited to see what she would look like.
