My husband is from Panama. He has very dark skin and brown eyes. He is often called African American here in the U.S. because of his dark color. I am from the U.S. and have tan skin and green eyes and light brown hair. We now have a beautiful son with gorgeous olive skin and blue eyes. His hair is straight and light brown/dark blonde. Any other Latina/American couples out there?

my husband is from mexico and he is very dark, and im as white as paper! lol So when my first daughter was born she looked nothing like me, dark brown skin, dark brown hair almost black and the brownest eyes i had ever seen! As she got older she got lighter but you still can't see any of me in her. then selena my youngest is my very light compared to sofia, but they are so beautiful i wouldn't change a thing about them. ♥♥

My husband is an extremely dark skinned Mexican from Puebla and I glow in the dark with blonde hair and blue eyes. Our son has a great mixture of the two of us. He's got medium skin, gray eyes and black hair.

My husband is African-American and I am Mexican, so naturally our kids are "Puerto Rican" :) It's interesting racing biracial children.

We are also a mixed family. My husband is from Costa Rica (un Tico) and I am a pale skinned redhead and because of that mix I often get asked if I am babysitting her :D. She inherited all his color and none of mine.

I'm not in a Latina/American relationship but I had to comment on your son's photo. OMG....he is beautiful. This picture looks exactly like one of my son's pics. when he was a month old. It's wierd how much they look alike. My kids are black/white ( my husband is black). Just wanted to tell you that your son is beyond gorgeous !

My husband is Mexican-American, his family roots are from the Yucatan Peninsula, so he is pretty dark-skinned. I'm a European "mutt" so I'm very fair-skinned. Our beautiful boy has light brown skin (a good mix), light brown hair (closer to my color), and amazing brown eyes (sometimes they're a little hazel like mine). It's funny to have a brown baby, but he looks too much like me for anyone to think anything different!  I can't wait to have more babies to see how they turn out!

Hello all well I have a rainbow mix here I'm married to an el salvadorian and I'm puerto rican. My other kids are half polish and puerto rican. Our little girl looks like a white girl. I the mother was shocked that she was so light skinned. Then my grandmother had to make things clear. I have an olive complection but my family in puerto rico is mixed. They are 100% Puerto Rican but a large group of the family is light with blue or green eyes. So with that we have some who have the dark skin gene and some that carry the light skin gene. Most of my kids look white. So it is really all a game of genetics and who's genes play harder.

No worries - my dad has been married to a Latina for over 45 years, and can barely ask for a beer in Spanish! :)

I can't believe I wrote Latina! My husband thought it was funny. After 3 years of trying to learn the language...and it seemed to be going quite well. I'll have to chalk it up to being old and having a new baby and being a stressed out teacher! That sounds better than I was just being careless. Thanks for pointing it out...I will definitely be more careful in the future!!!

My husbands from Ecuador and I'm blindingly white. Unfortunately my son did not get his fathers complexion, therefore we jokingly say his father is really the milkman

I'm the child of a Latina (Mexican-American) mom and white dad, and I'd like to gently correct you that your hubby is "Latino" - an "a" ending is feminine. :)

Your son is beautiful. I love how "mixing" can create such beautiful children. Dark skin with blue or green eyes is just gorgeous. I ended up with dark skin, hair and eyes, and so did my brother, but he was lighter as a child, less Latino in appearance.

I married a white man and we have a daughter with brown hair with some lighter highlights (blond or auburn), like her dad's. She has brown eyes like me, but they're lighter. And she has just a hint of my color in her skin.
