I haven't gone through anything like this yet as we haven't started DD on solids yet, but I would suggest you look at some good baby/toddler cookbooks, like "Super Baby Food" or "The Petit Appetit Cookbook: Easy, Organic Recipes to Nurture Your Baby and Toddler." We have both of those, and the recipes in there seem like they will be really good and healthy.

Unfortunately, they go through that stage specially at this age. Mine did. Have you considered bringing your child to an allergist who can test him for any food allergies he has, so that you know exactly what he triggers his allergies and avoid those food and be creative with what he can eat? My oldest son used to break in a rash, so my pediatrician suggested I try Gerber can foods and transition him onto solids. He was allergic to eggs, but was re-introduced to the poultry slowly, with the pediatrician's supervision. Peanut, though, is a touchy subject. It may cause anaphylaxis in some cases, so better ask your doctor.
