My son will be one year old on the 5th of March, and believe it or not. I have not lost any of the baby weight. In fact I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which made me gain a pound every two days before I started taking medication for it. Now I don't gain weight, but I can't lose any. Any advice on how to lose the weight?

Also: I cannot find any jeans or any pants that aren't stretch to fit me at least decently. I am like a size 18 around the waist and a size 12 the rest of the way down starting at the bottom of my hips. HELP PLEASE!!

hey Katy i feel for those that cannot loose the weight. It took me about a short time to loose my baby weight now i can fit into my pre-pregnancy pants:). What i did was breast feed and i eat healthy sucks instead of going for the junk foods i eat healthy foods. Also you can try walking if your little one likes to go for a stroll and good luck.

i didn't lose any baby weight. in fact i gained back the 30+ lbs i lost during pregnancy in the first 5 months after havign him. i would suggest going to the gym and watching what you eat. it will be harder for you because of your hypothyroidism but if you eat healthy and exercise regularly then the weight should come off. maybe slowly but it will. try consulting a nutritionist and also some gym's offer a free personal training session to help get you started.

I'm the same way. I haven't lost any of my baby weight, but it just came to a point where I was tired of being tired. Tired of wanting to lose weight but not sticking with something to make that happen. There will come a moment when you decide within yourself that you will do whatever you can to accomplish your goal, no matter how small it might be. I'm a student as well as a stay-at-home mom, so I find working out in the mornings are very beneficial. It's a time when my daughter is still asleep and my bf hasn't come home from work yet (I don't like feeling like I'm being watched..hehe) And I just work out to the exercise videos I have. It really make me feel sooo much better, and is a great start to the day. It is true that one good decision leads to another. Recognize when you're HUNGRY and when you're just BORED or want to simply eat something. Keep better snacks around, so you don't feel guilty about satisfying a sweet tooth. It's amazing how the little things make such a difference. Take the stairs when you can, do crunches or pushups while you're watching tv, make extra trips up and down the stairs, play music when you clean to make you move! haha. Whatever i takes, just make it fun. Losing weight isn't necessarily a simple task, its a change in lifestyle.
