My son is very happy, and smiling all the time, doesn’t cry, but smiles when strangers talk to him, and after being told my son should model…I had him try out and he made it, got signed to an agency…(of course any mother thinks there child is cute) but it took me a while to act on getting him an audition.

Any one else been told your child should model, have you thought of putting your child in modeling, and/or is your child doing any modeling????
What do you think of child modeling

I was always told my daughters could model but I never did an audition....the only ones I came across wanted tons of money for this and that. I still think about it because people still tell me they should model and their 14 and 16 now!! Just remember to learn the business and if you don't feel comfortable with something don't do. Wish you the best of luck!

Yeah…I defiantly did homework when I went looking for agencies…
I found one that is with the Better Business Bureau or also known as the BBB
Its means that the company is very reputable…and they have a A+ rating..
But there MANY scum/fake agencies who will suck the money right out of you.

I've been told by many many people that my child should model! He's beautiful (of course I say that hehe) and has a great temperament. Always smiley, very friendly, reacts well to new situations. I just haven't done it because I've been really busy (husband travels a lot for work, and I'm a student!) My neighbour said it would be a shame if I never did lol. Congrats on your son! I think it can be a fun experience for a kid, and a great way to save up for them for the future!

Look some kids just have it. True we all think are kids are beautiful but you know sometimes they really do have it. My daughter Aiyanah watches toddlers in tiaras and constantly asks when can she go on stage again. Pageants I found to be rediculous and suck the money right out of you. But modeling, If you found an agency that didnt want $ up front, you are good to go. Most however want something. My motto is if you feel you can get my kid a job you should take your cut afterwards. I have 4 kids and I know only 2 could model and 1 could be in show biz. Like I said if you know she has it then you know. Dont let anyone tell you different.

Yep I get told it all the time. He isn't with an agency yet but recently through a friend, he attended a casting for a commercial for a soap brand, that is going to be aired in Thailand and Indonesia. They mainly wanted biracial babies and at the casting, mainly white babies showed up. The woman that did the casting said he did a great job, but I never got a call for the commercial. I flew to another state for the casting, $400 out of pocket. The agency really got my hopes up that they were really interested in him. I just don't get why they didn't use him, he is exactly what they were looking for, regarding ethnicity etc.

Anyways, I'm going to sign him up with an agency in my area ... one that I know he'll get work with. I have a friend whose 3 kids have all been in Target catalogues and her husband has had extra work on a popular Australian Soap here.

Alot of people have mentioned that my son should model. I sent in an application for him and he was rejected because he wasn't mixed looking enough, but yet wasn't white enough to play a white kid. I still think my son is cute and overall I think that in moderation child modelling is ok. It's a good way to make some extra money to help pay for them or to contribute to their RESP

My kids get compliments all the time by complete strangers. I have acted on it, but can't seem to find a legit agency to get my babies into modeling. These shady agencies all ask for money up front and I have been told that I wouldn't have to pay anything. Whatever money is earned from gigs, the agency takes a percent out of that.

I have no problem with putting my children in modeling because they charm everyone they meet. I think it's alright as long as your heart is in the right place. Most parents become greedy, but others see this a great opportunity. Both parent and child could learn from this experience. It's also important to ALWAYS put your child first. I can't imagine making my son or daughter do something they have no interest in (except chores lol). My son modeled in front of a crowd before and charmed the audience, too bad it was a scam for all the parents and people there who all shared the same interest.

I'm not seriously looking right now, but every now and then I check to see what's out there. My babies are cute! I even get asked if I am going to get them into modeling from- family to- complete strangers. I won't give up, but I won't go crazy searching.
