boys VS. girls

so im JUST full of questions LOL!

but my OB is quite new at her job, she just finished nursing school and im her first to have a boy! but i researched and researched and i read that boys seem to grow bigger than girls! is that true! a prime example is that im 23 weeks and belly is measuring to be 25 weeks! but he's at 23 weeks!

I've heard the old wives tale about carrying all in front with a boy, and carrying wide and all over with a girl. That might explain the bigger measurement, but realistically I think that belly measurements are only an approximate guide anyway. They take them to make sure that you're bigger than last time, which means the baby is growing.

I always measured larger, at least 2 weeks ahead!!! When i had him a week and 1 day over due (by emergency c-section - his heart rate dropped, and when born he had his cord around his neck) he was 8.12lbs
