ok. so my son (8 mos old) has figured out that he has a penis and everytime I or my boyfriend go to change is diaper, his hand goes directly to it as soon as the diaper comes off. Is this normal?!?!?!

TOTALLY NORMAL! and to be honest he will from now on have his hands there. lol. I always just moved his hands. Its not a bad idea to wash his hands after diaper changes now. You dont want him putting his hands in his mouth after touching himself right after taking his diaper off. You can also read the thread.... Help!! My 5 year old won't stop playing with himself, There is a lot of info on this there. Enjoy motherhood w/ a boy!

Hi Jerica! I can't help but to LOL....I have two boys (20 & 6 yrs) and yup, both of them did this too as babies. Normal, normal, normal. Plus, haven't you noticed that adult "boys" grab their "stuff" too....yes, I know it's usually to adjust themselves, but I do believe your right....there is a magnet there! Take care, Christina

ok lol he just started to try to grab it when hes in the tub getting a bath now. so im convinced that there's a magnet in his little pee-pee that attracts his hand lol and i am soooo NOT looking forward to the poop flinging part... can you say ewww!

my son does same he is my only child,,, about 7-10 times he grabs himself and i only say one day he just pull it right off lol.. but yet its only when i change him never in the bath will he be bothered with it (i know this sounds rude) ....
wait until he finds out that he can put his hand in his poop!!!!!
or grab the diaper while your in mid cleaning mode and flings it on you. my son 19 mos. and started to do it about same age now he grabs his diaper while dressed i think he now knows that he is peeing and try to grab it ....
perfectly normal.. so dont worry.... its the same when he found out he could grab his ears or any other body part...
