~~My daughter Hannah was dx with Neuroblastoma stage 1 at 4 years old. It's almost unheard of to have such an early stage at her age and we thank God every day that it wasn't worse. She had her resection Nov '07 and we are lucky enough that through all the scans and follow ups since her CTs have shown no regrowth and her blood/urine tests have shown no catecholamines since 1 month post-op. I am so happy to hear for you that the regrowth is stable and i was keep your daughter in my thoughts. We were lucky enough that back in January we finally got the okay to have no more CTs!!! My daughter has to follow up with her oncologist every 6 months for a few years but as of right now she is considered NED.

Here's my question:

She is now 5 years old and has started asking if her "problem in her tummy" is going to come back and wants to know if she's going to ever have to get the "special medicine" (chemo) that the other kids at her doctor's office have to get. I have tried to be honest with her through this whole process but I don't know how to answer these questions without scaring her. Of course we pray that she will always stay healthy now, but I can't PROMISE her that.
