I have a son who has had two open-heart surgeries, both unexpected, and both to correct potentially fatal flaws. 1..Ross Procedure done 08-06-2001 to replace a regurgitant and insufficient aortic valve. 2. Aortic Resection done 08-25-2005 to repair an aortic aneurysm. The fact that he was 18 and 22 years old, was no less devastating to me than if he would have been a small child. I can find no one who understands what I am going through. This is for those going through the same thing.
