I am from Texas. I married last year to an amazing Vietnamese man. I am English-Irish-French. I am about to have my second child, a boy of Vietnamese and English/Irish/French origin. I have a daughter (5 yrs) from a previous relationship who is of English/Irish/French origin. I hope that my children can be close depite their differences and being half-siblings. So far, I feel very accepted by both my husband's and my families. I fear that my children and I will struggle with people that ask inappropriate questions about why we don't resemble each other when it should not matter; especially my children while in school. I love my family and wouldn't change a thing. All of my husband's siblings are married to someone of a different race than their own. I think it is an absolutely wonderful to be influenced by so many different cultures in our family. Thank you for your support.

I am currently from Lake Elsinore, CA. But we are getting stationed out in Okinawa, Japan in about 4 months. My baby is White and Vietnamese mixed. I have not really encountered anything tough yet, luckily. His family is not exactly "traditional", so they were all for us getting married and having as many children as possible, lol. My family are all in love with my husband, so no troubles in that department either. The closest thing to troubles so far are just other traditional asians looking at us funny (wondering why on earth he would want to be with a white girl, mostly females that think this.) or gossiping about us wondering how we got together and stuff. (as if it is so hard to believe that an asian man and a white woman could ever fall in love!)
