Just and FYI if anyone wants to further their knowledge about it...there is a pleather of info out there...my pediatrician just gave me a huge list of websites, recommended books and some handouts that were extremely helpful...as I find links to the info I will try and add to the link section.

My 4 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with ODD this morning. I eventually dragged her to the car kicking & screaming to take her to the doc cause i was convinced that there was something seriously wrong. I have bad days with her everyday but today was particularly bad. She bites herself on her wrist so badly she always has bite marks & bruising, she pinches herself & she gets so angry that she starts smashing & bashing everything around her. This morning she ripped out some of her hair in a rage.
I just don't know anymore.......I really hope that the doc is right & it is ODD & we can now move forward from here. Jordynne couldn't even walk yet and she used to bash her forehead so hard it left bruising, against anything around, floor, wall, furniture etc. in frustration. Everyday life is really difficult with Jordynne & i know as painful as it is for me to bare it cant be pleasant for her to feel like this all the time.
Although her father and I are seperated (when she was 1 1/2yrs old) we get along really well & both sides of the family give her so much love.
Jordynne is up at 04h00 every morning & 03h00 on a bad morning & there she starts demanding & shouting. She is very impatient she must have what she wants now......not in a minute......NOW! Otherwise she starts whining or throwing a tantrum. Washing hair, bathing, getting dressed & brushing her hair are all the biggest nightmare in my life...I don't even like to think about it. Most people battle with bedtime, I have no problem there Jordynne will ask to go to bed sometimes & happily gets into bed & settles for the evening. I just wish everything else was that easy.
Jordynne also has an extremely healthy appetite, always eating & barely ever do i hear 'I don't like this mommy'.
I just with i could help her. I pray the doc is right & we are now heading the right direction to make things happier and more comfortable for everyone.
