Amanda, We are sending them to our state health dept. But we have received several phone calls the samples aren't enough or that the filter papers are too saturated. We can't win sometimes. We usually get the results, if we send them out on Monday, by Thursday of that week. Our dieticians did say that there is a machine coming out hopefully by 2011. We have already told them that we would test it out. It beats getting rejected specimens. thanks for your imput.

Hi Jennifer. I do all of my daughter's testing at home. We do a heel prick about every 2 weeks or so and I send it to a lab. This lab I send it to is always backed up and I don't receive her results for like a month so today I did a test and am sending it to Mass to a new lab which I heard has quicker results. We'll see what happens I guess. Our dietician specialist said soon there may be a way to test at home kinda like a diabetes testing so as soon as that becomes available I will be looking into that. It'll be so much more convenient than waiting on slow labs.
