My daughter MacKenzie is 9 months old and was diagnosed with Left Congenital Muscular Torticollis and Plagiocephaly a few months ago. I take her to physical therapy every other week until her PT can fit her in weekly. We do her exercises at home but have a very difficult time remembering to do them eight times a day. They told us to do it every time we change her diaper but it doesn't seem to be a good enough reminder for us. We are unable to do them the first few hours of the day either due to our schedule. Basically, most of the exercises are crammed into one to three longer sessions each day. Her therapist says that she is happy with MacKenzie's improvement but I am not. Does anybody have any ideas? Do you know of any alarms that are made that can be set for at least five times a day? She is one point away from wearing a helmet and I don't know if I could be making things worse. Also, does anyone have experience with TOT collars?

My son went to pt at 9 weeks. He is now 6 months old and we still have a long way to go. Our pt and neurologist have him doing botox every 3 months and using a foam-like collar. It is also hard for me to do the exercises alot throughout the day. I try to do it at the diaper changes but i also have a 3 yr old. My pt said to try when you can and so i do it in the morning after he eats and in the evening. I try also try to do it during the day, if possible. I too have been frustrated with his progress. Everytime I turn around, there is something else that needs work. He now can hold his head up, but really needs help with muscle tone and can only roll one way. I also just got the hip helpers.
Good Luck

You could use your cell phone alarm to go off as a reminder. I try to do the stretches at every diaper change and then some. My son was only diagnosed a month ago with tort but his PT already wants us to get a TOT collar. I should be getting it in this week so I will let you know how that is.
