Hi guys I just wrote a post on my blog and I wanted to get your opinions. I spend my days saying "wow!" and "you're awesome buddy". But I feel like I am setting my boys up for a lifetime of disappointment. No one will follow them around saying "wow! You are amazing". So how do I slow down on the "atta boys" when all I hear all day is "mom! Look!".to read the post to get the full story click here: www.everydayhighsandlows.com.

I think that can be a hard question. I believe every child is different. I don't believe we need to praise for everything our kids do but I do praise a lot. I do it, possibly, differently than other moms. I make sure to tell my kids that I am proud of them, that they made a great choice, that they were very responsible, ect. I want it to directly reflect the action that happened and hopefully have those types of things repeated! My kids are a little older, my daughter is 9 and my son is 12. He is the one that has type 1.
