Hi! New on Circle of moms and this group. My daughter was born with bilateral club feet, corrected with the Ponsetti method (casting and then into the boots). Shes almost 2 now and is just about to starting potty training.

So here's my problem-- she wears her boots with the brace all night, so what has anyone figured out to do if their little one has to get up to potty in the middle of the night? I'm just worried she's going to be scared to get to the potty or worse yet (and probably most true since shes a little wild one) she's going to slip and slide her way to the potty with her boots/brace on.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can give! =)

Hi Jocelyn.
I hope all is well with you and your family.
I just wondered of you could give us an update on how the potty training turned out. Did you learn anything that would be helpful? Have any tips/tricks?
I'm going to start potty training my little boy very soon, and any advice or wisdom about training and wearing the boots at night would be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to your response.

Yeah Ive thought about going the monitor route. Her older brother always got up during the night so I really never thought too much about pull-ups, lol.

can you put a monitor in the room & have her call for you over it if she needs to go potty during the night & let her know you'll help her get there? My kids even the non-clubfoot one's never wake up during the night for some reason to use the potty... We did pull ups at night until they were dry several mornings...
