my baby is 1 month old and has acid reflux bad, we have him on infant gas relief, he takes cerel with every feeding, his crip is at a 45 degree angle, and he is on prevacid and reglan. he has these attacks where he will choke a bit and stop breathing. the dr has seen this and told us to turn him down and pat and suck out his mouth. does any one else have a problem this bad, if so then what do you try, or use.

Hey Angie, I have 2 boys that had acid reflux and thankfully they have grown out of it now but at the time my nerves were shot, my third boy Noah wouldn't gain weight we put him on Zantac and we gave him eggnog and he gained weight quick but he still spit up and doesn't like alot of foods. My 5th little now 5 was acid reflux and a reflux of the throat and that was scary everytime he had a bottle he gaged on it and couldn't breath the doctors said that they couldn't do anything he would grow out of it and I remember siting there just about in tears every time he drank a lottle cause he couldn't breath at the same time as drink but thank god they are happy healthy little boys now

My son did not have reflux as bad as yours but we found that if we ever thought that he had swallowed a lot of air then we would stop nursing/feeding and burp and then continue again. If we let him feed too much before burping he would spit up a lot more and that would aggravate his reflux.

My daughter is just turning 3 months and we had the same problems and I know how you feel. You just want answers and I'll you get is its normal try this and that. But I have to say the cereal does help. After he eats have him on and angle for at least 30 mins. I can honestly tell you and I know you dont want to hear this everything will get easier and what your doing is the right thing. my little one is only 3 months and I feel like its been way longer with all the things we've gone through with her acid reflux. I'm just happy its been 3 weeks and I havent been running to my drs or researching items to help. lol if youn have any question or anything else feel free to message me, at this point I feel like I know as much as the drs do lol. Congrats on your little boy!!!
