I am so sad. My mom just passed away last month and my oldest son moved to Korea in July. Since his departure he has been very uninterested in speaking with me. He has been abrupt with me and ignoring my attempts to chat with him. He can't call, not that he would. He has been distant since he left for college. It's hard because when he was growing up he was a wonderful child and very loving. When he left he just didn't look back for some reason. He left emails unanswered, didn't come come to visit and would get annoyed if I asked him why. It's hard to understand. I don't expect a call every day, but I worry if I don't hear from him for months on end. He is teaching in Korea and has always been responsible. He has always been very sociable and has many friends, but has no interest in a relationship with his family. It breaks my heart to know I have a child that is not a part of my life. I just love him so much.
