My 16 month daughter has started showing preference for her dad over me, I know she doesn't understand but it does hurt me alot because I do everything for her. This week has been alot of tears for me because it feels like she's rejecting me. I do everything for her and want to build a stronger relationship between us. Any tips I'm desperate

It's pretty common for children to have preferences to parents. My son who is 6 went through this phase, and currently I'm his favorite because he spends more time with me than my husband. The reason he's with my so much is because my 2 year old daughter only wants daddy. It hurts but I know she'll go back and forth many times in her life and the more I push it the more I'm going to push her to daddy. I look at it this way I'm able to get a lot of stuff done around the house because daddy can entertain her while I'm cooking and cleaning. You could try doing things with just the two of you like shopping or going to the park.
