My boy is 4 and sometimes totally uncontrollable but i find he is worse whe he is bored or really tired, I have found that giving him something a bit more difficult to do than usuall that he needs to use his brain for (but not so hard he gets frustrated) helps keep him happy for the most part. I hope this was a little helpful
