My daughter will be starting her insulin pump on March 12th. We still have 2 more trips to the Barbara Davis Center before she starts. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice or tips that I need to be aware of before she starts on her pump.

I have 3 diabetics on the Medtronic Minimed 512. They are all doing wonderful. My daughter was diagnosed at 9 months of age and will be 31 on Thursday. It has made a world of difference in our lives. I would be happy to answer any questions you have. We talk to families all the time. After 30 years of this, we have experienced it all. Good luck to you and yours!

the pump is the best thing to control the diabetes with.My daughter has a pump and she loves it. It can be challenging at times until you get everything set with ur child body.Good luck on the pump.
