Is type 1 diabetes a disease or a disorder? i have seen and read lots of articles based on type1 diabetes.most of them says that it is a disease and some says it as a disorder. i am sure that its a disorder. what about you?

My son has had diabetes type 1 for 11 years. It is a disease. I do not know if diabetes type 2 is catagorized the same way. I believe it is. I suggest you check the JDRF (juvenile diabetes research foundation) site or the ADA (American Diabetes Association) site. They both have an abundance of information.

Type 1 Diabetes is autoimmune so I've been told that it's a disease.
